OPTIONS & COSTS

RESERVATIONS take place in the main area of the store and are available for groups of 7 or more. Groups of 6 or less may walk-in or call ahead (~30-45 before your visit). Call ahead groups may still be required to wait for a table. Large reservations (12 or more) may not be available at certain dates and times. RESERVATIONS do no have a time limit, however we kindly request you limit the number of non-participants to 1-2 people and be mindful of your time if it is a busier day to allow other guests to CREATE.

CREATE Pottery Shop may choose to seat a reservation in the party room, but private access is not guaranteed without booking the PARTY option. RESERVATIONS seated in the party room should not spread out farther than needed so we can save space for other guests or CREATE Pottery Shop staff to also use the space. A non-refundable deposit of $25 may be required at the discretion of CREATE Pottery Shop for larger groups or groups booking at busier times. Deposits are applied as a payment toward the total on day of your event.

PARTIES are for groups of 8 or more participants who wish to use the private party room for 2 hours. Time can be extended for a fee of $50 for each additional 30 minutes. Extensions subject to availability. Participants must select a project priced at $20 or more. There is an additional charge of $8 per participant. The base price per participant is ($28+tax)+$8 fee. A non-refundable $25 deposit is collected to finalize booking and is applied as a payment toward the total on day of your event. Due to capacity constraints, there is a limit of 16 guests (participating or not) to groups in the party room.

The ROOM RENTAL option is available for RESERVATIONS of 7 or less participants that wish to use the private party room for 2 hours. There is no minimum number of participants. A $150 room rental fee is collected at time of booking. No other extra fees or deposits are collected. Group pays for prices as marked + tax on the day of the event. Groups of 8 or more wishing to use the private party room should book using the PARTY option.

TRAVEL PARTIES are when one of our staff comes to your location and leads the participants in the activity. There is an additional $75 travel fee added to the cost of the projects. All supplies will be provided, though supplies and design tools may be limited with travel parties. Please let us know a price range for the projects and we will bring a selection. We will try to accommodate requests when items are available. You are welcome to come to the store in advance of your party to pick out your pieces from our current inventory. An additional fee of $25 will incur for distances over 20 miles. A $25 per hour fee is added if your event exceeds the 2 hour allotted time.

REQUIREMENTS & POLICIES

Hosts may arrive up to 15 minutes early to set up any desired decorations.

Food is permitted, however, paper products and utensils are not provided. Refrigeration/freezer space is not available. We recommend food that is simple and not overly saucy or messy. Food should be enjoyed separately from the art portion of your event. Food can leave oils and residues on your hands that can cause issues with glazing and firing. PARTIES are provided a table to set out any food. CREATE Pottery Shop will clean up after the art portion of PARTIES to provide a clean table for enjoying food. RESERVATIONS should not use extra table space for food. RESERVATIONS should also be conscious that they are sharing space with other customers and avoid bringing strong smelling foods. Snacks and cold drinks are also available for purchase at CREATE Pottery Shop.

Dangerous or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. CREATE Pottery Shop exercises the right to dismiss a disruptive group from the studio. Children 12 and under should not be left unsupervised. All members of the party should be in the party room or at the provided table. Non-participating guests should not loiter in open areas or at empty tables. Parents of children attending parties that do not fit in the party room should drop their children off and return to pick up at the end of the party.

Projects are subject to normal turn around times. Pottery painting is ready to pick up after 7 days, clay and glass 10 days. Stoneware will ready on the next 1st or 15th of the month, depending on the day of your visit. CREATE Pottery Shop holds items for 60 days. Items not picked up with 60 of the pick up date are subject to disposal. CREATE Pottery Shop is not responsible for contacting customers to inform them that their pieces are ready or due for disposal.

Items will be wrapped and bagged under the host’s name. For children’s parties, the child’s name is written on the wrapping. We ask that the host to take all projects home with them to distribute to their guests when they pick up. Upon pick-up, it is your responsibility to verify that all pieces are present and undamaged. Once the pieces leave the studio, CREATE Pottery Shop is no longer responsible for lost or damaged items.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The non-refundable $25 deposit may be transferred to a new date with at least 2 weeks notice. Room rental fee is refundable minus the $25 deposit with 2 weeks notice. After 2 weeks notice has elapsed until the day of the event, customers may receive the $125 difference in the form of store credit. No-shows are not refunded or credited their room rental fee.
